2005-12-30 - The Thing What I Do Every Year

The 2005 Year-in-Review (a day early)

Best Day: Gosh, why are only the most recent things the freshest in my mind? Hrmm...if I get to be too honest, I'm sure you'll notice a theme here. So let's say the day Prof. agreed to be my thesis advisor. Aces.

Worst Day: Missing my last class (I told you these were fresh on my mind). Of course, if it turns out I got a C in either one of my classes, then that would be the worst day ever, as I would have screwed myself a thousand times over.

Best Album: Fiona Apple, Extraordinary Machine.

Worst Album: I don't buy worst albums. Lemme see...any crap put out by a Lohan, Duff, or Simpson.

Biggest Disappoinment: Oh, gosh, I think that one's yet to come--I mean, musically, come on Gwen Stefani, stop making so many enemies. I don't know how much longer I can defend you.

Best SNL so far: I honestly can't say. Except (although it's all over the 'net now) "Lazy Sunday" was hilarious the actual first time.

Worst SNL so far: Eh. I dunno. I guess I've put it out of my mind already.

Artist(s) I'm glad I discovered: Feist, M.I.A.

Best Movie: Geez, I haven't seen any of the Oscar bait, so, Batman Begins. Although fingers crossed for A History of Violence.

Worst Movie: So many movies, so little time. Insert schlocky horror movie here.

Coolest Website: Still TWoP.

Favorite New Show: Everybody Hates Chris

Least Favorite New Show: Grey's Anatomy. Dude, I totally don't get it. And a standing blank space for every shite sitcom FOX puts on in place of Arrested Development.

Goals For 2006: To get Showtime if they pick up AD. To accomplish 2005's goals (I don't think I did any of that shit. Shh!). To graduate on time. To not make an ass of myself. To find a legitimate way to stay in Baltimore.

And I leave you with this vaguest of thoughts: being me sucks rocks right about now. I don't like how I'm feeling, because it shows I'm just as human as everybody else. And an adult, to boot.
